Born and raised in rural Ohio, I learned early the value of perseverance, hard work, and community. After overcoming a serious childhood illness that doctors believed would prevent me from ever walking again, I went on to participate in sports throughout my youth—an experience that shaped the determination and resilience I carry with me today.
As the son of a preacher & a teacher, I was raised with a strong commitment to service & helping others. I graduated from Lima Senior High School and was honored to be inducted into the Lima City Schools Alumni Hall of Fame in 2014. I earned degrees in Biochemistry & Medicine from The Ohio State University and completed postgraduate training in Ohio and California.
Prior to entering real estate, I practiced for over 30-years as a physician and surgeon, serving patients throughout the Lima region at both St. Rita’s & Lima Memorial hospitals. That experience taught me the importance of listening carefully, advocating for others, and guiding people through important life decisions—skills that now serve my real estate clients exceptionally well.
Today, I am proud to be a licensed Realtor & member of the Ron Spencer Real Estate team. With a particular interest in residential & agricultural/farmland properties, I understand the unique value and lifestyle these properties offer. In fact, the small farm where my wife, son, and I live today was purchased through Ron Spencer Real Estate more than 30 years ago.
